CSWP Mold Tools: PASS

Playing around with the blogger tools...

The day after CSWP Certification (Core Segment 3)

I'm sobering up to the fact that I FAILED to pass the CSWP Certification (Core Segment 3).  Here's a quick recap:
  • model part
  • throw part into an assembly
  • establish a coordinate system
  • mate a few parts
  • make a few mate changes, add more parts
  • make more changes, add more parts
  • check for interference
  • replace a part with another part
  • make another change.
The thing about the CSWP is that you have to key in values for your answers and only a few questions were multiple guess. I aced all of it except the last 3 questions, which where all dependent on each other. The worst part about it is that the duration for this portion is 80 minutes long. I finished it in 28 minutes, but was too cocky to double check my answers. Oh well, lessons learned.

As far as difficulty, I would actually venture to say that the questions asked on the CSWA exam are as difficult, if not harder. The main difference is the multiple guess factor - with the CSWA you know you are right because your answer will be dead nuts to one of the choices. With the CSWP, you never know. I guess I'll found if I can pass it again in a few weeks.

Good thing that the exams are FREE with subscription services!

Extruded Cuts

OK. Why am I doing this?

1) This is a good forum for my SolidWorks students to ask questions and to get answers.

2) I need a place to rave and rant about my workday and how SolidWorks has influenced my mood for an evening.

3) I need a place to come up with wacky SolidWorks ideas for my own. Sure there are discussion forums, but every other person there is either a reseller application engineer, an employee of SolidWorks, or is annoying to the majority of the user base.

4) I really, REALLY want to know if I can make money from Google using this! hahah

I hope to keep topics related to SolidWorks... but I already know it's going to go all over the place. Let just run with it and see what happens....

Testing 1-2-3

This is a test site to see if I REALLY can make money off of Google. Let's see what happens...
