Giants failed me miserably. San Diego also failed miserably. Now I know why. A 2 spot pays 13:5, or $2.60 for every $1 bet.

$40 in, $104 winnings. For the week, $100 in, $104 out, a whopping $4 earings. 4% earnings is still better than the interest on a savings account for one year.

Week 15 still has a few more crazy games. One thing though: you gotta love those niners!

Just got back from our company party in Palo Alto. They had play casino tables out, and the deal was that with the money you win you can buy raffle tickets for prizes. We had to pay $10 for $100 in play money. I got $200, and in 3 hands, I won turned it into $800...now if that was only REAL money! Jeez. I've virtual parlayed once...feeling lucky now. Lets give it a shot: 1. Gmen vs. Hotlanta, pickem: I'm taking the Gmen.They're fighting for their division, Atlanta will choke, as they do every time around this time. 2. Indy @ Houston (-10): Texans got embarrassed last week. They get back on track. Taking the Texans and the -10. 3. 49ers @ New England (-4): East coast haters. I do see the 49ers secondary getting a bit torched by Brady, but I think it will be down to the wire. I'm taking my 49ers, all day every day. 4. Chiefs @ Oakland (-3): To bad teams in a really really good rivalry game. Oakland shows up today. Taking them Raiders and the points. 5. Vikes @ Rams (-1.5): Two teams that beat my Niners...Peterson is hot, but so are the Rams. Taking the Rams here. 6. Skins and Browns, pickem: Washington is in the hunt, so they find a way to win no matter what. Take the Skins. 7.Carolina at SD (-3): liking SD here too, not sure why. $20: picks 5, 6, 7, 4 $20: picks 1, 2, 3 $20: picks 4, 6, 7 $40: 4, 6 $100 on the line this week....thank god it's virtual!

NFL season is half way done. Total number of virtual bets: 1. Total amount won (lost): ($20). There's no way to win. Even if I did virtual parlay, I probably would have lost. Maybe I need to switch gears and rant about how much I hate Wildfire 4.0.... Or maybe I should rant about how tired I am at the end of the day after spending 8 straight hours using AutoCrap 2011. Or maybe I should bitch about the meaning of "copyright infringement" with respect to downloaded music. After all, if I pay for the MP3, I own it, right? Whatever. I think I want to drink more Don Julio...

Pacquio vs. Bradley Tonight

Why is it that I'm posting more about sports than I do about SolidWorks? one of these days I'll start talking about more geeky stuff.

But in the meantime, lets look at Pacquiao vs. Bradley. Pacman is a 4:1 favorite. I'd never go against Manny because he is the pride of the Philippines, and the sports all time best! But when you look at it from a gambling perspective, it doesn't make sense.

Manny is -450, which means you need to bet $450 to win $100. Bradley is +350: wager $100 to win $350. Manny has a 15 win streak. Bradley has never lost. Manny is on top of the boxing world. Bradley is still looking up. Roach thinks Pacquiao will shred him. Pacquiao has God in his corner. Wager my 450 imaginary bones on Pacquiao.

The other odd was the "over/under" of 9.5 rounds. Over 9.5 is -240. Under 9.5 is +190. Manny's last 5 fights have gone the distance. Bradley has had gone the distance 5 out of 8 times. Roach thinks Pacquiao will shred him.Take the under. Wager my 190 imaginary bones.

There. I said it. My predictions for this fight. And will Minny Mayweather ever fight Pacman. I doubt it. He's a bi7ch...and with a perfect record I wouldn't blame him.

Fresh from the depths of VHS heaven - UCDavis Lambdas vs. Pineapples 1996

This brings back a lot of old memories. I don't even know how I ended up with this tape, but I was cleaning out the garage and I found this VHS tape. My work was about to throw out a VCR (old school, 4 head panasonic "PRO" series), so I had to put one and one together just to see what was on it. SCORE! This was a gem to find. I myself had a crappy game, but it still fun to see how we stomped all over our rival fraternity. Co-MVP's go to Erik Sato and Gabe Castro...Sorry for the old school lyrics, but it's suppose to bring you back to 1996 - yes 16 frikken years ago. Enjoy!

playoffs

Wow it's playoff time! So fast...

Neveer parlayed on playoffs...i'd expect all the games to be tight. Here's where I'm putting my virtual money:

1) Take Denver +9: Can't pathom seeing Denver D rolling over like that. Tebow pulls one more (#^$% from his ass.
2) Take the over 33.5 on the pitt/denver game

3) Take NO -11: I hate Detroit. They get walked all over....Mega who?
4) Take the under 60 on the detroit NO game.

5) Take New York -3
6) Take cinci +4...because Joe Namath said so.
