suck

Boise St. you suck.
UCLA you suck too. I though you guys suck, but I guess I was wrong.

Stanford has been hot as far as covering the spread.
Go LSU!
Big loser again for 3 weeks in a row. Minimized the damage by not "betting" on Pro games. Progressive betting is not helping.

sidelined today

no play today - going to a bebe shower.

But I do like 49ers -4 over Washington,
Oakland over Denver
and Pitt over Bal

College week 10

1. Take Stanford -21.5 over Oregon
2. Take LSU +4.5 over Bama
3. Boise -42 over UNLV? uhhh...ok. I'm still taking Boise.
4. I like Miami -15 over a crappy Duke team...no particular reason
5. SDState -35 over New Mexico? Sure why not. take SD.
6. Take AZ -9 over UCLA.
7. Take Houson -28 over UAB. They're trying to make a case too.
8. Take SJ -8.5 over Idahoe

play my 3-4-5 spots as usual. Play 6-7-8 as a 3 spot, then for the hell of it, play the 8 spot!

5 plays, @ $5 = $25. I've lost the last 2 weeks....let see if we can get some back.

To be impulsing, take picsk 2,3,4,6, and 7 for another $5 spot too. Dayam...glad it's not real money!

NFL week 8 play

1) Take NE -2.5 over Pitt
2) Take NO -13.5 over St. Louis
3) Take SF -8.5 over Cleveland
4) Take Baltimore -12.5 over the Cards
5) Take Jacksonville +9 over Houston

Here's an interesting (maybe stupid) play: 3-4-5, $5 ea for $15.

Now play insurance: SF is coming off a bye week: bye week teams are 3-9 this year. So to hedge by bet, I'm going to play the other side as well. Take Cleveland and the +8, $5 bets for the 3 4 and 5 spots for a total of $25

Total here: $30.00 I know I'm out at least $15, but the idea is to improve my odds of catching. Hopefully the first 2 don't fail me! I think I need to rethink this strategy, but I gotta go!

Week 9 college pick

Last week sucked. Washington failed me. Hawaii  failed me. <-$40> last week. I gotta total it up to see where I'm at. Maybe it's because I posted as week 7 instead of calling it week 9.

What I'm seeing: top rank teams trying to rack up as much points as possible to get to or as close to #1 as possible! High scores, blow-outs are more plentiful.

With that said:

1) Take Stanford -7.5 over USC
2) Take Nevada -15 over NM State
3) Take Hawaii -7 over Idaho
4) Take Cal -4.5 over UCLA
5) Take SJ State +7.5 over Louisana Tech

3,4,5 spots @ $5 per play...here we go!

Futures

Here's an interesting find:

49ers are 9:1 odds to win the NFC, 17:1 odds to win the Superbowl. In otherwords, if I bet $10 on the niners to win the NFC, I get paid $90. $170 if they win it all.

I got my 20 virtual dollars on these bets!!! GO NINERS! (Should have done this 2 weeks ago)!

Even funnier: Odds for 49ers to win division are 1.12:1 - make 12 cents for every buck wagers. Well 12% on a 1K investment is better than what stocks or banks are doing right now...

NFL Week 7 Picks

1) Take Dallas -13.5pts over the Lambs: Bradford is out which means  the Lambs will score no more than 10 points. Dallas will cruise to a win.
2) Take the Raiders -3.5 over KC. Won't matter who starts at QB, but their running game won't be stopped!
3) Take Washington +1 over Carolina.
4) Take SD and the pick over the Jets
5) Take Denver and the pick over Miami
6)Take NO -13.5 over Indy: I think they choked for me last week.

3 spot, 4 spot, 5 spot, and I'm going for the 6spot this week! $5 per play, $20 for NFL, $40 on the line this week. Hope I catch something because I got spanked last week.

College week 7 picks.

Ok. I got rocked last week - 0 of 7 on picks sucks. Need to do a better job studying instead of last minute gut picks. On the other hand, it's 12:40pm and  I already missed a bunch of morning games.

Let's see:

1. Take Hawaii - 22.5 over NM State
2. Take Stanford -18.5 over Washington
3. Take USC +9.5 of Notre Dame
4. Take Bama -30 over Tennessee
5. Take Cal -1 over Utah Utes

2, 3, 4 and 5 spots $20 on the line.

Saturday, October 15, 2011

This weeks NFL picks

While I'm at it:

4. Take the 49ers +4.5.
3. Take Pitt -13 over Jacksonville.
2. Take GB -15 over St. Louis.
5. Take Oakland +7 over Cleveland
1. Take NE -7 over them Boyz.
In that screwed up order. 2, 3, 4 and 5 spots: Game for $20!

Thanks to watch: The over (46) on the 49ers, the over (40.5) on Pitt

Better late than never

Missed the morning games...but I still got a chance this evening.

Games I like:

Take Oregon -14 over the AZ State.
Take Stanford -21 over Washington st
Take Oaklahoma -37 over Kansas
Take Boise State -33 over Colorado

These lines are crazy....I think I'd play a 2 spot, 3 spot and 4 spot, $5 ea. The 2 spot pays 3:1. Stanford has not failed me yet, and Oregan is at home. Kansas has got the sh** kicked out of them their last 3 outings.

Watch the over (54) on the Boise game....

Week 4 and 5 recap

Week 5 recap:

I caugt a 3 spot on the college games. +$30. Lost my 4 and 5 spot, -$10.

Dayam my NFL picks: Called OAK, SF, and GB. NO were -6 but only won by 3, so I lose: another $10.

+$10 is better than 0. I'll take it!

------------------

College recap on NFL week 4:
Fresno screwed me up on my college picks. -$15 here.

for my NFL pics:
I catch my 3 spot for taking the Niners, GC, and Baltimor. I missed the 4 and 5 because OAK got spanked by NE. +20 for these picks.

Now the good news: I catch my bonus 3 spot and 4 spot!!! That would have been +$30 and a +$50 for a grand total of +$100 for this weekend!
----------------

Combine Weeks 4 and 5 and I made a healthy $130!!! WOOT!.

Now if I can only do my picks earlier in the week and be more systematic...

Virtual Parlay #2 Update

Called Georgia! WOOT!.

Missed LSU...BOO. 2 points short on a 30 point spread.

Virtual Parlay #2

OK. I sucked last week. Good thing it's virtual!

This weeks College picks before the games start:

1) Take Standford -21.5 over a powder blue UCLA. No I did not base it on the color of a uniform, game is at Stanford.
2) Take Fresno State -3.5 over Mississippi. Don't know why, just a good feeling.
3) Take Wisconsin -10 over Nebraska: Wisconsin as been putting up some serious points...plus they are at home.
4) Take Oklahoma -40 over Ball state: bidding for #1 OK needs a statement game.
5) Take Colorado -4 over SJ State: I hate going against the local teams...but money talks and brown stuff gets stepped on.

Bonus:
Take LSU -30.5 over Kentucky
Take Georgia -7 over Missisisisisispiweortoigpoi State
Take Notre Dame -12 over Purdue....so not a ND fan, but they are doing well this year.

Same Deal, $5 parlay a 3 spot, 4 spot and 5 spot. 3 spot is picks 1,2 and 3. 4 spot includes the 4th, and 5 spot includes the 5th.

NFL:

1) Niners are +9 doggs vs Philly? Really? They won't lay down like that. Take the Niners.
2) Green Bay -12.5 over Denver: I hate big spreads in the NFL, but GB is the team this to beat this year. Take GB.
3) Baltimore -3 over Jets: hahaha....Jets are gonna get spanked. Helllllo Ed Reed! Take Baltimore.
4) Oakland +5 over NE. This is going to be a grind it out game. Looking forward to watch McMadden run wild again. OK, I have to admit I only hate on the Raiders when they suck. They've proved a lot already. I'm still a 49er fan for life, just have to give props to the Raiders because they looked good against the Jets lastweek. Take Oakland.
5) San Diego -7 over Miami: Another high powered offense that will choke at the end of the season. Take SD.

Bonus picks:

6) Take Washington -2.5 over St. Louis
7) Take Dallas -1 over Detroit.
8) Take New Orleans -7 over Jaguars.

I'd do the 3,4,5 scheme as I'd it. Let's pretend and throw another 3,4 combo with the following:
1a) Take NO -7.
2a) Take San Diego -7
3a) Take Green Bay -12.5
4a) Take Baltimore -3

I dunno why, but I like these matcheups. $5x3 = $15 for the college parlays. $5x5= $25 for pro games. $40 for the week.

I'm <-$30> from last week. Still haven't posted week 2 and 1, but I lost in week 2 <-30> and won my College Picks in week 1 +$105. Less the $40 for picks this week, but back down to +$5.

C-Y'all!

Virtual Parlay

Ok...since it's been forever since I've posted, I think I'm going to use this blog to track my parlay pics. Here's the deal: 3, 4 and 5 team parlays for College and Pro Football. Assume $5 wagers for each. Assume 5 team payout is 12:1, 4 team payout is 6:1, and 3 team payout is 3:1.

Picks are ranked 1-5 (may throw in a few extras). 3 team pick uses my top 3 choices. 4 team pick is the same 3 teams as my 3 spot, but includes my 4th top pick...same deal with 5 team pick (if you can't figure it out, then you suck).

I'll blog my week 1 and 2 results sometime soon, but here's my picks for week 3:

College:
1. Take Oregon +16 over Arizona. Oregon is on the road, but they need to make up ground in the rankings by blowing up teams now.
2. Take Boise State + 28.5 over Tulsa. No comment.
3. Take Ohio St +16.5 over Tulane.
4. Take Oregon State +5 over UCLA. I hate LA.
5. Take FIU +17 over LA-Laffayette (I can't even spell it).

Extra picks:
6. Take SJ State +10.5 over New Mexico (I should stay away from SJ State, but after the ass kicking the 1st 2 weeks, they need a win).
7. Take Fresno St. +3 over Idaho
8. take San Diego State -10 over Michigan.

NFL:
1. take Pitt +10.5 over Indy: No Manning, no way!
2. take SD +14.5 over KC: No Charles, no chance!
3. take GB +3.5 over Chi
4. take NO +4 over Houston
5. take ATL -1.5 over Tampa Bay

Extra picks:
Take the Niners -2.5 over Cinci: Niners can't win on the East Coast, but "this year is different"!
Take the Raiders -3.5 over NY Jets: Raiders sell out the Colesium? WTF?

6 plays @ $5 each = $30. Lets see what happens!

Bully Gets Dropped !!!

First reaction: "OOOOOOOOOOOOHHH! HAHAHAH Kid got DROPPED!"

As a parent of 2 boys, it would tear me apart if I found out that one (or both) of my boys were bullies. I really feel for that little kid's parents, especially after seeing that video. It's even more embarrassing that he go slammed MMA style.

For the other kid, aka BEAR, I was reading posts that HE was the one that got suspended, while the bully was punished minimally. There should definitely be an appeal for that since he was defending himself...at least suspend both kids. I suppose that praise is not the right attitude for his actions, but I gotta admit that head slam was very top notch. If I was this kid's parent, I would first tell him that head slams are wrong, then tell him he did the right thing for protecting himself. I'd be the proudest dad in the world too after seeing that video! (bad....sooo bad).

Oooh...MOTIV haptic development platform

Brought to you by Steve Kinsley-Jones, product marketing genius...gotta like the 22in demonstrator in the background WITH NO DEMO RUNNING (FAIL). At least I can say that I helped direct 2 interns build that thing!

Watoto From The Nile- Letter to Lil Wayne (Official Music Video)

I'm torn with this video...

On one hand: Girl gotta point. Video says it all. Well done for a 10 year old.

On the other hand: Hey lil gurl...why u listenin to Lil Wayne ANYWAYS? Don't your parents pay attention to the "explicit lyrics" warnings on CD albums? You should be listening to Justin Bieber instead. Lil Wayne is an entertainer targeting ADULTS, not lil kids.

I'm no rapper. I'm no entertainer. But I see her point.

Valentines Day at SolidWorks World 2012: Feb 12-15th next year?

Haven't blogged in a while...few things I learned recently that SolidWorks 2012 will be in San Diego - from Feb 12 to Feb 15th. I guess the planning committee didn't have their creativity hat on for when they planned this. Valentines day? Jeez guys, just because this is the biggest collection of SolidWorks geeks on earth does not mean that some of use aren't married, have significant others, or just do not celebrate Valentines Day.

If San Diego was not available in January, couldn't they have done someplace else on the West coast? Couldn't they have just picked another week?

Jeez.

CSWP Mold Tools: PASS

Playing around with the blogger tools...

The day after CSWP Certification (Core Segment 3)

I'm sobering up to the fact that I FAILED to pass the CSWP Certification (Core Segment 3).  Here's a quick recap:
  • model part
  • throw part into an assembly
  • establish a coordinate system
  • mate a few parts
  • make a few mate changes, add more parts
  • make more changes, add more parts
  • check for interference
  • replace a part with another part
  • make another change.
The thing about the CSWP is that you have to key in values for your answers and only a few questions were multiple guess. I aced all of it except the last 3 questions, which where all dependent on each other. The worst part about it is that the duration for this portion is 80 minutes long. I finished it in 28 minutes, but was too cocky to double check my answers. Oh well, lessons learned.

As far as difficulty, I would actually venture to say that the questions asked on the CSWA exam are as difficult, if not harder. The main difference is the multiple guess factor - with the CSWA you know you are right because your answer will be dead nuts to one of the choices. With the CSWP, you never know. I guess I'll found if I can pass it again in a few weeks.

Good thing that the exams are FREE with subscription services!

Extruded Cuts

OK. Why am I doing this?

1) This is a good forum for my SolidWorks students to ask questions and to get answers.

2) I need a place to rave and rant about my workday and how SolidWorks has influenced my mood for an evening.

3) I need a place to come up with wacky SolidWorks ideas for my own. Sure there are discussion forums, but every other person there is either a reseller application engineer, an employee of SolidWorks, or is annoying to the majority of the user base.

4) I really, REALLY want to know if I can make money from Google using this! hahah

I hope to keep topics related to SolidWorks... but I already know it's going to go all over the place. Let just run with it and see what happens....

Testing 1-2-3

This is a test site to see if I REALLY can make money off of Google. Let's see what happens...
